A little about our customer
Plastic Expert is a plastic recycling business with a recycling centre in Gosport, Hampshire. The company offers a ‘drop-in’ service for many different businesses including waste management, skip hire and other recycling businesses. Plastic Expert also works with many different sectors such as food manufacturing, distribution centres, warehouses, retailers and other producers of plastic & packaging waste. They help divert plastic waste from landfill creating sustainable costs savings and carbon reductions.

Why our mill size baler is the obvious choice
One key element in the decision making process was the versatility of our Mill Size Baler. As with many recycling centres, there are lots of different plastic types to be baled. This includes rigid plastic, LDPE shrink wrap, car bumpers, builders bags (PP) and even cardboard/paper waste.
The Mill Size Baler we installed boasts compaction force over approximately 50 tonnes. This is ideal to make rigid plastic bales and can be used to bale all the aforementioned material types.
In addition, the bales have an ideal weight of around 350kg for rigid plastic and 500kg for other material types. Because the plastic scrap is usually sent to factories overseas for processing, the compaction weight is important to keep transport costs low.
Installation and training ‘How to use a Mill Size Baler’
